Digital Camera Binoculars
These are extremely useful binoculars in my opinion, especially for taking photos of objects in the distance. The ideal choice for sports fans, bird watchers and viewing of wild animals in safari zones.
It combines both a binocular and a digital camera which means you can view objects far away and also capture the image!
Buying a pair of binoculars is vastly different from buying digital camera binoculars. With digital camera binoculars you need to consider the digital camera features as well as the binoculars.
How many mega pixels do you need?
Mega pixels determine the quality of the image. The more mega pixels the digital camera binocular has, the better the quality of the image when enlarged.
Does the camera come with built in memory or do you need to buy a memory card?
256mb usually is sufficient, but if you are an avid photo taker then you will need to upgrade your memory card to enable more storage. This can be expensive and add to the price of the digital camera binocular.
Is the camera feature easy to use?
Simplicity is the key. If the camera is too hard/complicated to use it makes it more difficult for the user to operate.
Does the camera allow for the resolution to be adjusted?
If you don’t want a high quality photo adjustable resolution is helpful. Small resolution photos take up less space but are lower quality. Higher resolution photos are good quality photographs but take up more space. If you constantly take higher resolution photographs you may need to upgrade to a bigger memory card.
Shutter delay?
Is the photo taken the instant you push the button? Or is there a pause and then the photo is taken? You need to ask yourself these questions when buying a digital camera binocular.
As well as these points you will also need to consider the features of the binocular. For the binocular checklist click here
