There has been a lot of discussion about what are the best binoculars.
This is always a difficult question to answer and I always ask "what are you planning on using them for?".
For instance, if you want to take good quality photographs of birds in the distance, you would want a digital camera binocular. These would make them the best binoculars in that situation.
Maybe you want to use them while hunting and stalking your prey? Perhaps you just want an all round general pair of binoculars that can work in a range of conditions?
The answer therefore is always choose to buy binoculars that will best suit the job you want to use them for.
Remember:
8 x 42 on a binocular refers to magnification (8) and how many times the lenses can magnify. The other figure (42) refers to the width of the lenses in millimetres. Generally the larger the lens the more you can see, but the downside is a higher price.
Shop Around
I suggest you shop around and check out what is available before you buy a pair of binoculars. One of my favorite places to buy is online. For example through Amazon.com you will find a wide range and variety of products that come with speedy delivery and discounted prices. I'm sure you will be able to find some of the best binoculars there.
Make sure (if you can) to pick up the binoculars before you buy them to see if they feel good in your hands and don’t weigh too much. It is important for them to feel comfortable (ergonomically designed preferably) and lightweight so they don’t weigh you down.
The best binoculars are those that suit you and can be bought at an affordable price. Why pay $1000 when you could spend $300 on a good pair that will do the job just as well for you? It always pays spend some time on research before buying.
I hope you will find this site useful in helping you find the best binoculars to suit your needs.
